One of the greats. His lyrics so often come to mind. I find myself singing the lyrics to Hunting Season every autumn.

Yes, very sad.  Revisiting a lot of his old material as my day's soundtrack so far today.

Some good memorial snippets already appearing on teh interwebs, including one about a joke he included in an internal NSA mathematics paper that remained unnoticed for nearly 60 years.


 

It's a strange world.  Let's keep it that way.

I think my older brother introduced him to me.  I got such a kick out of his wit .Somewhere there is a concert of Tom Lehrer's recorded many years ago in Copenhagen.  Saw it on WGBH (Boston public tv) last year or so..  It probably can be googled, but I have a feeling it will be showing up on various PBS stations as a fundraiser.
