    Vernor Vinge, the SF author who popularized the Singularity, passed away yesterday, March 20, 2024.

    Oh damn.  I liked his stuff - particularly some of his aliens.
    I;m adding A Fire Upon the Deep to my re-read plan right now.  That's a book that genuinely deserves its Hugo Award imo.
     

    It's a strange world.  Let's keep it that way.
