Not a good day yesterday after the class at the YMCA. Therapy, and she was doing a simple test that all of the therapists have done on my arm and something popped. It wasn't that painful, but it was loud enough to be heard. The chief therapist was 6 feet away and asked what happened. She had me go over and lie down on one of the tables, lift myarm so that the upper arm pointed to the ceiling and my forearm was parallel to the floor. Then she had me straighten the arm, but I no longer had the ability to fully straighten the arm. She called the doctor, who was in another office, and he said he wanted to see me again. In the meantime, I am to do NOTHING with my right arm until I see him next week. Then, another roofing guy came out to check the roof and give an estimate. He said that the underlying plywood on the front of the house was probably 3/8" thick instead of 1/2". I don't know that I want to replace the entire roof, underlayment and all, but if we have a heavy snowfall, it could collapse the roof. This is in addition to the rotten underlayment in the rear of the house.
I will have to check with Phil to see how he's doing.

Phil leaves the hospital tomorrow and moves into an efficiency house. A single room with a dinette and kitchen along with the living room furniture, and of course, a bed.His son will be staying with him, at least for a while.

Sounds like an improvement.

Saw the surgeon this morning. Not good news. The "tunnel" he drilled to secure the graft broke and so there is nothing for the muscle to pull against. He needs to do some more research and thinking this over, maybe a mesh or a non-organic method. But, bottom line is I will have to go back for surgery.

Hmm, I don't know if this site censors bad language, but consider that I have expressed myself vividly, and I'm so sorry to hear this. How are you doing otherwise? You've had far too many stressors in far too little time.

I am managing. Once I can get the roof fixed, I'll be a lot happier. Thanks.

I didn't mention my iron count was 32 at the last test a week ago. I got a call from rheumatology to come in for a series of iron infusions. Total of 5, so 4 more to go.
