Drain is out of the elbow, new bandages in place, and a brace that keeps the elbow at a 30 degree angle. No lifting, no bending, nothing that creates stress on the elbow. Return to the therapy center in 2 days for bandage change.

Sounds much better.

Since I've been on hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) for the past 6 years, it was time for a complete eye exam. The doctor said my eyes are in excellent shape, and he would like to see me in a year. The elbow hasn't bothered me at all in the brace.

Brother's bone marrow transplant is on hold. His current health insurance expires Feb 27. He was scheduled for tomorrow to have the central line, also known as a PICC, inserted and the process of destroying the cancerous marrow. Then the transplant of the donor marrow would be Feb 23. So now they have to go through his wife's coverage, and the renegotiations. Meanwhile, the donated marrow is cryogenically frozen and can be used when this gets settled. So, he has to go through more transfusions until they give him the go-ahead.

Y'know, if they wait some more over this it *will* be expired. I'd be pushing for them to do as much as possible as fast as possible before that date. Nothing like self-fulfilling prophecy.
