Schadenfreude strikes

It was just a matter of time.

We've had just over a year since there has been an active case of VOVID-19 here in the ACT -  an oasis of relative sanity (excepting federal parliament of course), surrounded as we are by the state of New South Wales, ruled as it is by Gladys the Superspreading Bin Chicken and her corrupt modern Rum Corps who refuse to learn from the other states and lock down properly, thus leaking COVID to the rest of the country.

Well, around two hours ago, there were rumours of a positive case here and also traces in wastewater. That was confirmed an hour ago and we go into a hard 7 day lockdown in 4 hours time at 5pm local.

That's how you should have done it Gladys. ;(

I hope the lockdown does its magic and you're free to roam the countryside in short order.

Re: Schadenfreude strikes

First day of full lockdown here and so far Canberra seems calm, two and a bit hours away from a noon press conference from our Chief Minister.  Apparently at least 3 more active cases found, all close contacts of the original case yesterday..

SWMBO has already successfully executed a thunder run for essential food and medicine supplies.  All appears calm out there ... for now.
