I liked Radiant Star. I am so impressed by the variety of voices in which Leckie writes. Each novel has been quite different. She is remarkable.

I think I will reread RS pretty soon. I enjoyed it a lot, but want a slower read.
Of all her books, Translation State is my favorite, after Ancillary Justice.

I have found a new series in my library by N K Jemisin, starts with The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms. Looks like she's taking a different character/pov within a particular world. Interesting to date. I think it's a trilogy.

It's a pretty good series, a bit YA but well worth reading.
I also really enjoyed the Dreamblood duology -- The Killing Moon and The Shadowed Sun.

I think the YA aspect of that Jemisin series is why I may have neglected it in the past.
I'm still going on We by Zamyatsky. The further I read, the more I think of other more recent authors that may well be influenced by this book. I am thinking now of both JG Ballard and Baudrillard.

I don't find it particularly YA--unlike some authors I've tried. The characters are 21s+ or so. But then my brain hasn't been on a full track for a while now. These books seems to be sufficiently entertaining for me.

Agree, quite enjoyable.

Currently getting started with The Sixth Nik, by Daniel Krauss. I’m liking it, but damn it’s one of the weirdest books I’ve ever read. It’s like Mièville crossed with Iain M Banks, with a dose of Peter Watts. More later.

Good to know. I suspect in hindsight that it was the YA labelling that dissuaded me. I am certainly aware of Jemisin's subsequent work and award-winner status..

I see there's another 2 book set that I'll have to see if the library has.
