I've ordered the Blu-Ray set of the mini-series, but I can't find my paperback copy. I did find my copies of The Ipcress Files, XPD and Fighter easily but the others are buried in the stacks somewhere. I'll likely start my re-read by watching the Michael Caine move of The Ipcress Files as that's readily available on free streaming here at the moment.
Is the Lotz a recent book? I feel like I've heard the name recently somewhere.

2022 I think. She appears to have multiple pseudonyms.
LibraryThing believes you do have a copy of SS-GB

Yes. I'm sure I do have a copy, and the LT entry date suggests it was added when I first did a cataloguing pass of those shelves (which happen to now be stacked three layers deep).
It doesn't explain why two pbs are out and accessible (my copy of Fighter is a hc in a different bookcase) and it certainly doesn't explain why my hc omnibus edition of the Game Set and Match trilogy isn't in LT at all. That's a completely separate mystery,

so I watched the Micheal Caine Ipcress Files, Enjoyable period piece situated halfway between James Bond and The Avengers. And I see there was a miniseries not long ago.

I got distracted away from The Ipcress Files movie by happening upon both TTSS and Smiley's People in the Alec Guinness tv mini-series versions available on free streaming, but should get to it this week.
I finished Loss Protocol by Paul McAuley. Another good read from him. I might do a mini review when I've digested it a bit more.
Next up is probably Tchaikovsky's Children of Strife. But having said that, I note that Richard Morgan's new book is also due out this week.

Watched Michael Caine in The Ipcress Files and enjoyed it. I think it stands up pretty well even today.. Also my Bluray of the SS-GB mini-series has arrived so I'll try to get to that this coming week.
Made the 'mistake' of reading the prologue to Morgan's No Man's Land and am now powering through that book instead of Children of Strife atm. Morgan is in top form with this one imnsho.

Very encouraging to hear. I don’t think I’ve read a
Morgan in a few years.
Do report back on the mini series. I’m reading SS-GB Currently

We're departing for the UK in 2.5 weeks. Thus, the only reading I've done recently has centered around travel guidebooks and Beatles-centered biographies.
I loved Maximum Volume: the life of the life of Beatles producer George Martin, the early years 1926-2016.
I've almost finished the sequel:
Sound Pictures: the life of Beatles producer George Martin, the later years 1966-2016
both by Kenneth Womack.
Excellent books if you are interested in learning how the music we're still talking about and playing 60+ years later was produced. Both books drive home how creative and groundbreaking the Beatles -- and George Martin -- were. I've always loved the Beatles -- but now truly appreciate them.
