I've been messing around with investigating alternative writing formats lately, in particular "choice based" Interactive Fiction. I've found Twine (actually Tweego) to be fascinating. I've started several projects but haven't competed anything yet. I keep letting myself be distracted by creating structural options instead of writing text,

Here's an example of a tentative front cover. Sorry for the large size.I don't seem to be able to ilink by way of a thumbnail. Maybe I've forgotten how, or maybe this forum doesn't support it.
Twine and Tweego generate a Web page from the story input, so the published results should be viewable just about anywhere. This is just a screengrab of what I see on my computer when I veify what I've written.

Don't let anyone kid you. CJ makes it look easy, but I find creative writing *hard*. As a result, I spent the past couple of weeks working on a different IF project. I'll now find out if this site will let me upload a zip file....
it won't.
Bear in mind that I did this just for my personal amusement and to see if I could actually write something using the Tweego/SugarCube authoring language. I'm very much a materialist and do not believe in things like Tarot card divinations, but it was a well-defined project. It "only" took about 2.5 weeks to implement, unlike the story I've been trying to write for the past several months.
I'd greatly appreciate it if someone would download it and give it a try.
The zip is 9MB, and the HTML file that's in it expands to about 12MB if you unzip it, but you shouldn't have to if you don't want to. The browsers I've tested let you view the html (web page) while it's still in the Zip file. I suspect they're actually extracting the file to a temp directory, though, so extracting it yourself probably will improve performance if you decide you want to look at it multiple times.
Here's a screengrab of its opening screen. As you might notice, I made the screengrab while writing this missive
