Cherryh Hardbacks
I've been reading and buying from the Ivrel days, but missed some hardbacks along the way. Of course for a long time, the first editions are paperback, and some early books were only published in hardback as book club editions.
I just got a SFBC copy Merchanter's Luck. It's a nice one, even came in a mylar cover !

Now I want to find a Severn House copy of Downbelow Station. I think that's the first hardback edition. Kinda hard to find except for expensive copies.

I have both book club editions, unfortunately, my wife through away the covers. They are two of my favorites!

Here are the A-U books on the top shelf, Foreigner on the bottom. The red copy of Downbelow Station is an Easton Press edition that I found for a really good price. But, I'm not super impressed by the production quality, and would greatly prefer an edition with a nice dust jacket. That means either the SFBC (actual first hardback), or the British Severn House (first trade hardback). The SFBC is waaaay cheaper, and has better artwork, so maybe I've answered my own question. Although, an 'affodable' Severn House was pointed out to me (thanks Joe!), so ....
Ah well, hunting for books virtually is something to occupy time.

My own hardcover copy of Downbelow Station is the Severn House edition that I serendipitously found at my favourite local specialist bookstore (now sadly gone).years ago. I carried it to Spokane in 2015 for Worldcon, so I could get it signed by Herself. 
I'll need to clean up my bookcases some before I can photograph the CJC hardcover shelves.. I'll add that to my lockdown to-do list, shall I?

Managed to get a reasonable photo of my CJC hardcovers today after some clean-up in that room. Now i need to learn how to use the image posting feature here - sorry it's so large.
