Reasons To Be Cheerful, Part 3

Happy New Year to all hereabouts.

I know it has been a bleak couple of years just gone, but i have already found a couple of things to look forward to in 2022, viz:
-  a new Slough House thriller from Mick Herron;
- a new album from Porcupine Tree ( a first taste of which is already available on the tube of ewes); and
- a totally unexpected surprise, an autobiography of sorts from Steven Wilson, the enigmatic musical genius behind Porcupine Tree.

So what is everyone else looking forward to or hoping for in 2022?

Hopefully, a relatively pain-free year is in the works.

that would make the world a lot happier! I think this Omicron variant may inject a huge amount of immunity into the world, which could be very helpful in bringing this to an end without being as destructive as previous variants

Hmmn.  As I start to see reports of yet another variant appearing in France, possibly originating in Cameroon, I am again reminded that hope is not a strategy.  I'm anticipating further lockdowns here, sparked directly by the ongoing incompetence of our federal and the NSW state governments.  I''m not yet convinced that 2022 will be significantly better than 2020 and 2021 so I will  gratefully take what small comforts do appear.

That's good news, Star.  Any reasonable and readable links you can point to for further info?
