this was last July's  babbler. I just finished it. I liked it quite a lot. I am not sure that it is outstandingly original- yet another story about raw recruits being whipped into shape and learning to pull as a team on the way, and then facing down terrible odds-  and it seemed a bit over complicated. But the characters and their interactions were engaging, and the main character’s dilemma was interesting and well-done, I thought. 

Also, a kind of an interesting take on capitalism, which seems very much in ontrast with the take in Planetside, which I am reading now.
